A funny but painful story
    #1324757 - 02/21/03 01:19 PM (14 years, 3 months ago)

Today I was working in my glove box, making a syringe. I sprayed the lysol alot all over the place, then being the stupid ass I am, I went to sterilize a knife with a lighter. The second I lit the lighter, BOOM! the fucking glvoe box ingulfed in flames and everything in it was on fire including a bottle of alcohol, I threw the lid off quick and put the fire out. I now have serious burns up both of my arms. What should I put on these burns? they hurt like hell!! please no one make the same stupid/painful mistake that I did..  :frown:

I'd try to find some of that silvadine cream. <
If u go to the ER or the doc they usually will give u a little can of it.

It was pretty expencive if u have to buy it. The past 2 times i got burned good were 2nd degree and they just gave it to me.
Might even get some good pain pills out of it if u play ur cards right

it sounds retarded but for first degree burns use mustard and cover it with saran wrap....it does work...if there are blisters or charring...see a doctor....

Aloe vera or A. barbedensis .

Use the gooey gel stuff on the inside of the juicy leaves. What I do is cut them down the lateral seam where the little serrations are. Then take the blunt side of the blade and scrape the goo out. Mash it up a little or just rub it on. Leave it, let it get air. Repeat for when needed for faster action. It might be a good idea to try it out on a small patch of unburned skin first to make sure you don't react badly.

Only use the fresh plant. It doesn't work the same (maybe at all) when its in products.

another case against lysol . i hate that stuff .
i use 10-15% isopropyl and distilled water as disinfectant spray .
so far i've had less then 10% contamination, which i think is acceptable .

In the future use dryer vent duct as sleeves. my foaf had that happen his first time out. used plastic trash bags as sleeves + dish washing gloves. gloves made lighting lighter hard. sleeves evaporated in an instant. saved from burns though. surprised
keep alcohol in a jar and tightly seal when about to flame

Yea I'd wrap it up with some cloth material. My friend used strips cut from a t-shirt.

Polysporin is also good!!

but if it's bad.. go to the hospital, don't fuck around with your health... have a simple story ready..

ex: Having a fondue and spilled the bottle of fuel.......etc...

I don't ever use fire to sterilize, regular alcohol, bleach, lysol( but no flame.. ) yes, i hate lysol too.. i got the green cap last time, not as stinky as the blue one..........

And i have had very few contams...

good luck.. and be careful!

Man I sent my old lady after lysol and she came back with the blue.
That shit is so nasty. When u spray it it stinks the whole house up.
It's so bad u can taste it n the air.

The really bad part is she got the biggest can they make.
That shits never going to run out.

I like blue!!! Nah Im really liking the new pink color. That shit smells good! I use oven tek with lots of lysol and I have 0 contamn. I never blow up either. Thats funny as hell. I always use the alchohol gell stuff that they sell to disenfect your hands with. Go to your local sonic and rip the dispencer off the wall. That shit works good!! Or you can open it u and take out the bag.

the best shit for getting rid of odors is that Axe effect stuff....my favorite for getting rid of the marijuana smell in my room before the rents come back
