ah yes, what is the general consensus on reducing the fire hazard from heating pads? I live in a death trap.

Don't take this as pure gosphel, but I have never used a heat pad and I grow 3 gourmet species and a couple of others ;D. However, if I was to use a heating pad of some sort, I would use a water bed heating pad, they are desinged to have weight on them (the rising heat will heat your incubator or terrarium better) and are also designed for a more precise temp control.
