Colonization on the inside
    #1323970 - 02/21/03 04:50 AM (21 years, 1 month ago)

Jeff just birthed a few jars and noticed that under the vermiculite layer the middle doesn't seem to be colonized. However, before Jeff birthed them he noticed that they appeared to be fully colonized from the outside. Maybe the mycelium isn't as noticeable on the inner-parts of the cakes? Or maybe he's just fucked!

Just don't mess with them. Hopefully they will colonize the center before some sort of contam takes hold. I would guess that they will be fine though.

My aquaintance had this problem. This was solved by packing the jars more loosely. Actually, he doesnt pack them at all anymore. He just lays the PF mix in there nice and fluffy like.
