Hunting in the morning
    #1323440 - 02/20/03 11:08 PM (13 years, 9 months ago)

Its friday night down here in Australia, and the rains been falling so the shrooms are comming.
While driving home from work I spotted some fairy rings, agaric mushrooms yum yum. Also a weird white gilled amanita. So signs look good for a shroom hunt here in the morning at NSW Australia.

Good Hunting to all.......

Yes the good times are here, I've just finished a very rewarding hunt this morning.
To celebrate I made some shroom and bannana pancakes.....yum yum.......below are some snaps of my collection.

Good hunting to all.

I cheat not, both pictures are the same BM backing is A4 plain white paper. The trick is the time of day, lighting and dosage.

jezzmo:
if they where not found on dung, they are not blue meanies.
there are several species of psilocybian mushrooms down under, you should do some research and familiarize yourself with these species.
[url=http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/23470]here[/url is a good place to start.

That link doesnt have anything on Aussie psilocybes. Id lvoe to add some info to it...
In NSW you guys have access to Ps.Cubensis, Panaeolus cyanescens, Ps.Subaeruginosa (Eucalypta and Australiana variants), Ps.tasmaniana.
Ofcourse, until your sure of the id, dont touch them.
Ive posted an Australian mushroom guide on here somewhere - do a search.

They just keep popping up all over the place.

When are you travelling up this way for your big woodlover hunt?

Im hoping in May as this should be the best time of the season. Im particularly interested in that psilocybe you found growing on kangeroo manure.
Can you give me a general description of it?
