Not trying to knock anyone but....I've received prints on paper, plastic, and also sealed in those little plastic laminated things.

Personally, unless the print is on foil I toss them on arrival (unless it's a rare print).

I only print on foil in a still air box and I expect the same.

I wish I could find that english chap's print tek, it was legit and quite thorough right down to the way he folds his edges with a knife.  Anyone know which I'm talking about?

Same, but obviously the still air box isn't needed as agar work is required to obtain a clean culture regardless.

Spore prints are fine on paper, but just know that it is easier for both the spores and bacteria to get down into the weaves of the paper as RR said previously.

What I recommend is going to walmart and buying yourself some nice grade aluminum foil. There is nothing wrong with using paper, but I hope you are working with agar so you can isolate it away from bacteria.

I agree, foil is best for making spores to use. If you are doing a print to identify a mushroom, green paper is good because no mushrooms have green spores...

Hmmm...what about Chlorophyllum molybdites?

Had to search for it, but I remembered reading about green spore prints and gastrointestinal mayhem.

I doubt anyone would get these confused with a psilocybe species though, and cant see any other reason for eating them unless there is just some guy eating random fungus out there, in which case he deserves gastrointestinal mayhem. I have never heard of green spores and definately thought they did not exist, am interested to see them, thanks for the info.

Anyone here seen green spores??
