I've started growing this plant from a cutting, cutting is very young and small. What are the best conditions for this plant? like humidity, how to create the humidity, temperature, light, watering and fertilizer. Thanks BTW I am a major noob in growing this plant

doesn't seem to be a picky plant from my experiences, never had troubles past seedling stages. nearly 100% success cloning in water(i use that crappy powder, it dissolves in the water after i coat it but hey its floating around)(i use a water tub and bubbler/airstone) leave enough nodes on both sides just in case, i've taken center cuts and had success

cant say i give mine any special attention. room temp, share the lights of everything else, my natural RH is 30-50% in my locale. might need humidity if you live in the mojave desert they actively move towards the light which leads me to believe they like a lot of light, and they can move fast! saw one bend a good couple inches pointing towards my ceiling light when put in a not so well lit room so i constantly rotate em when i see em getting all sideways to keep em straight

Super easy plant to grow. They tend to grow like a weed with very little fertilizing. Just water and you're pretty much good to go. I wouldn't put it in ground though as they are pretty much invasive and it will attempt to take over as much land as possible.

Thanks for the reply. I live in the UK and it is not very humid, what should I do?

Nothing. They don't need high humidity and your location is not an arid desert region. They should be fine so long as your Relative Humidity(RH) doesn't drop below 30%. Which it doesn't as I just checked the minimums, link
They're an easy to root plant and if you stick it in a glass of water you'll probably see roots develop within a Two week period without the use of hormone powders. It's a good plant to cut your green tooth on and I'm sure you'll succeed.
Go on and plant it, I dare you!

heh in response to that the only scientific-ish info i've found is from a laycaeum document experimenting its effect on cats XD
lycaeum - Calea zacc. more specifficly the cat experiment Psychopharmacologic Analysis of an Alleged Oneirogenic Plant: Calea zacatechichi pretty conclusive it does "something" bear in mind that document is nearly 30years old
i like using scirus too
i feel it does something... i've been mostly propagating it(1st year growing it come january), i havent been injesting it often, or in high quantities (holds up to its name of "bitter" grass) any effects i've witnessed could just be in my head as i have been "googling the hell out of it" since i started growing it
maybe its about time i started doing some trials, also i'm about to give a few friends clones of their own so... MOAR SCIENCE! GO!
when i started with seed i had mass! but i only got a handfull to sprout i'd read somewhere its possible because its a wild plant with sporadic germinations and differing dormancies, unlike commonly cultivated domesticated ones that will spring up the second conditions are right

Neat thanks for the information I just got one a few weeks ago myself. I have had the thing in the window with good light and it still likes to stretch. So I guess these plants REALLY like intense light. Anyone got a large one? Or anyone have one that has flowered for them yet?

I have "zacatechichi" that is definitely over 2 feet tall. Hasn't flowered yet though. It's not bitter at all so I don't know whatsup and whether I planted it or if its one of the non-bitter variety that has become a weed in these parts.

How long did it take to grow that tall?

No idea really... 6 weeks.. 2 months.. something like that.. this summer anyway.. I didn't intentionally plant it.. it's either from seeds I "discarded" outside or from a variety that grows as a random weed here. It's still right where it sprouted.
