Super Glue is a fucking awful idea.
No, actually it's a fucking great idea.
Why do you think it's not?

if it is just a mild cut, clean it out and put some super glue on it. at least, that's what I would do. Just make sure its a new tube of super glue.
You could bandage it properly though. If it's on the knuckle and bad, I would recommend a hand wrap with a few 4x4's underneath the cravat.
Or, if it's really mild, suck it up

Seriously!
It will work just as good as that smear on band-aid stuff.
Very much this. I had a chunk of skin hanging off my first knuckle and every time I bent that finger or made a fist pop, blood. A dab of super glue and it healed right away. You should always have super glue with your bandaids, first aid supply.

I superglued it. Working great so far and I'm able to use my finger without the superglue cracking. Not like it's a bad cut or anything, it was just annoying getting blood on my clothes and stuff.

You will probably have to reapply it daily as your skin oils will weaken it and the fact it does not stretch.

I'm pretty much guaranteed to bust my knuckles at least once every time I work on a vehicle, so I usually keep a bottle of superglue with me to seal it up whenever it happens.

From wiki...
"A superglue spray was used in the Vietnam War to retard bleeding in wounded soldiers until they could be brought to a hospital. Butyl cyanoacrylate has been used medically since the 1970s outside the US, but due to its potential to irritate the skin, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration did not approve its use as a medical adhesive until 1998 with Dermabond.[3] Research has demonstrated the use of cyanoacrylate in wound closure as being safer and more functional than traditional suturing.[4] The adhesive has demonstrated superior performance in the time required to close a wound, incidence of infection (suture canals through the skin's epidermal, dermal, and subcutaneous fat layers introduce extra routes of contamination),[4] and final cosmetic appearance.[5][6]"
I've used it myself with incredible success. Tell me, is it a fucking awful idea to spend 4 bucks on glue that works and stops bleeding (even pretty serious bleeding) instantly, allows for speedy recovery and easy wound cleaning, provides a hardened protective barrier that helps further protect the wound, and is virtually painless?
Do you think it's a great idea to spend or 400 to 500 getting myself stitched up, only to increase my risk of infection and scarring?

just make sure the superglue is clean (I can't imagine much living in there unless you introduce it) and that the wound is clean before you seal it.

I've also put glue on to stop the initial bleeding, then peeled it out 6 or so hours later so I could clean the wound, pull the skin back together, and reapply to a wound that wasn't practically squirting anymore.

i wouldnt use superglue to stop bleeding. If I couldnt' stop it with direct pressure, was a major major arterial cut, and i couldnt fit my finger in it MAYBE

It actually works really well. Stops bleeding almost instantly. You still want to apply pressure though, that's still very important.
