Applications of mycelium piss?

A freind was wondering whether there might be an application of this yellowish fluid. Wether or not it has any nutritional, or antibiotic properties. Whether it could be a recipe additive, a contamination fighter, and agar substitute etc etc. He just thought maybe this "waste" product didn't have to go to waste.

I have wondered the same thing, and lately thinking I could extract a bit of the fluids with diabetes syringes, being the needles are so small. My friend has some casings going at his place, maybe i'll snake some of his fluids ;p lol

I've never read anything about analysis of the byproducts, the mycellium have to produce some sort of antibiotics, i don't see why the wastes wouldn't harbor some residual of this.

interesting, this definitely should be researched . who knows it could be an anti-carcinogen, or a cure for aids .

fungi secrete the fluid because it is waste. it is nitrogenous waste, the same as our piss is. composed of ammonia, urea/uric acid. fungi also secrete digestive enzymes w/ch disolves their nutritional substrate so they can absorb it. i dont know if any of these enzymes would be in the mush piss. it is ill advised to add this piss back into the substrate or used to dunk w/ etc the mush piss is toxic to mush peace

i don't know, must be some sort of enzyme ... what i do know for sure is that its extremely coorosive stuff, which easily makes holes in aluminum pans (that's why its better to use plastic containers for casings)

I think your reply was more like a guess, than a representation of known facts.
My guess is that the mycelial piss may be made of similar compounds as an extract of the substrate. I usually see it on wet substrates. I think that the advancing mycelium may be forcing the excess water from the substrate.
I think by the same reasoning that the piss would contain the enzymes the mycelium secretes as it digests the substrate. These enzymes would consist of digestive enzymes and most likely antibiotic enzymes as well.

Joshua, do you think a dried crystallized version of the "excrement" could be used as an agar supplement somehow aiding in digestion or contamination control of the substrate?
