growing from a log in a hardwood forest, lots on the log

Gills
pores/gills: pores
color: multiple colors

Cap
diameter: ~2 1/2 inches across, 1 inch wide, flat
color: multiple colors
texture: rubbery
shape: semi-circle
convex/concave: flat

Spore print
white (this is the first time I've ever found one of these fresh enough to print!)

Bruising
none

Not sure if it matches surface texture but I'm thinking more like Trametes hirsuta.

Here is a link that describes Trichaptum biforme.  Note the biforme has a lilac purple fresh spore surface. What does yours have?

I'm not sure. I found it a few days ago, took pics, and threw it out. Didn't try to ID it until today and I wish I'd taken better photos.

On my walk today, I found what I think you might have thought you had in your original post.  These were noticeably lilac although my pics are not as good as I thought.
