Up around the mountains where we go shooting, there's always cows wandering around. So I decided to share a picture of such cows with you.

Where's that at AJ? It all looks the same out here, but I'm taking a wild ass guess and saying willow springs? Just curious.

It's in some mountains in southern Arizona.

**edit** didn't see that you lived in Az. Those pics were taken about 7 miles up Reddington pass.

I'm an estate head gardener  and i get the house so hey can keep me on the estate and living in servatude lol.

Thing with this estate is the owners only visit once a year at most and not at all this year  so they need people living in to keep an eye on things.

Try making friends with them first.  Stand outside the fence, pet them as they come up to you, and feed them all manner of delicious plants that don't grow inside their pasture.

Are you sure thats not a breeding feild?

Alot of farms have fields they move cows to as it comes time to breed them.
We keep one with 6 head in it all bulls. When it comes time to breed a cow she is droped off in that field for 2-3 weeks then returned to her original field with the other cows.
The bulls get really upset when people come into there field when theres cows to breed with around.
I guess they think your gona eather fuck her or take her back to the other field.

If there actting bitchy and stomping around try stomping back and grunting.
They learn to do that if they have been backed off during feeding or replacing salt lick. Alot of people will back cattle off while feeding because they get so excited they will step on ur toes and get all up n the way. A calf will hurt the toes pretty good being clumsy but a cow will break them in a quickness.

Those cattle in the pic don't look like there being used as there horns have not been cut down to keep from goring you so b safe they might not have much human interaction and might just be really scared.

Smoke bombs work but don't throw them hold them in a leather glove and light one. It will prob send them to the otherside of the field. I learned that as a kid going to the creek and having to fight thru a shit load off pissed off cows
Snaping pops also work but u have to throw them at them and u take a chance of them going thru the fence from fright

na its not a breeding field there just there with about 30 goats to try to keep an area of land as heath rather that forrest. There just left out all year round and get little to no human contact. The 2 breeds are shetland cattle and highland cattle both very hardy breeds chosen for the fact that they need little care.

i tryed being brave in the early days ya know stamping and banging my walking stick on trees and sstuff but it just pissed em of more.lol

snaping pops should scare them. just don't aim for there head so u don't accidently put out a eye.
U can squeeze then in ur hand and they pop so it doesn't hurt them just scares the piss out of them.
A smoke bomb would prob work 2 just b safe that grass looks kinda dry make sure when it's burned up u stomp it n the mud so no cattle eat it and whoever owns them doesn't think someone is tormenting them.

Snaping pops would prob work better as u won't have a huge cloud of smoke rising up in the air. If there not scared of those they are prob not going to be scared of anything.

Just get ur buddy that can run pretty fast to take off running and when they start following him u jump over and do ur buissness.
U might wana take a buddy ur not 2 fond off just in case they catch him.
Those horns can be a real M/Fer if the cow knows how to use them.
