In my experience, amanita pantherina will not bruise/stain red. Blushers, hence the name, do. But not all amanitas are readily ID-Able just by that trait. Once you find about 10 rubescens and pantherina, they will be like reflex to ID hehe

You couldn't tell anymore, demons and man were related, and some would say the same, but who would like to claim? In time, Gods had even forgot, Demons, too, once love had sought. In times recent I remember, Once I was a man, In my heart I had an ember, I'll relate the best I can but it was snuffed, one distant December. And yet here I stand, no flesh, no bones, no seed or semen, All that's left is this Demon.

If I don't see any spots on cap, I leave them alone. If I see spots on the cap, I look at the stem and gills. And near the cap margin, if I see any reddish bruising, I usually pick it. If not, I peel a little cap skin, wait for staining. If stains, and matches all other traits of a blusher, it's good eating.

You know it's A. pantherina. The margin has a very striate appearance, the ring is quite thick, and the warts are big and WHITE.
