There's two different issues here, why are you confusing them together?

I don't know. You tell me. You made the claim, burden of proof is on you.
What wouldn't we have enough of? If everyone lived like they do in New York city, we could fit the whole world into Texas.

That's what I'm asking you. Why did you say "We both know there's not enough resources for everyone to live a first world standard of living" and then when challenged on this you said "I was referring to third world migrants which invaded the EU, not the billions of poor people currently living in their homelands"?
How does one translate to the other???

Energy consumption. US citizens are the pigs of the world when it comes to using energy.
We don't have enough cheap energy to have 8 billion people consuming like we do in the first world. We're not going to have $300 oil to see what would happen.
I'm sure in the future a cheap form of energy will solve this issue, until then it's not going to happen.

Of course we don't have enough power today for the entire world to live a first world standard of living. Because the entire world isn't first world, and it would be a great waste of money to produce more energy than is currently being consumed. However, if the world's standard of living went up, don't you think we could produce more solar, wind, nuclear, etc to accommodate?

That's a valid point, but most alternative forms of energy are currently more expensive than traditional fuels. So until more efficient forms of energy come into play, I think a good portion of the world is out of luck.
The only way standards of livings move higher is when energy consumption is affordable. Cheap energy is the key to the castle. In fact if we don't find better forms of energy in the coming decades, the first world will also be in for serious problems.

Why can't people get educated and "reap the economic benefits of a larger, more productive workforce" in their own nations?
Are you serious?
Do you read any international news that isnt about the European migrant crisis?

People in New York City are dependent on the outside world for food and material goods. Put a wall around New York City and don't let food in, most of those people are dead in a couple months.
Don't let any food into a mixed agricultural area of the same size and the population may survive indefinitely.

Good job demonizing a specific demographic, I'm sure that tactic will create that "unity" people like yourself desire so much today.
Oh wait, you don't want any harmony. You want a social war based on identity politics. Good job falling into the trap.
