More trolling by the China Government:
-------------------- I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

Imagine how much more crippled Europe would be, with regards to the disruption in Russian oil/gas imports, if they didn’t have relatively robust public transportation systems and were all reliant on pickup trucks like our country is.

They can ride as many bikes, busses and metros as they like, won't help them much when their heating/cooling bills are 10x higher than they used to be, food costs are 3x higher, and they're facing electricity blackouts on top of that, and possibly don't have enough natural gas to physically heat every home in the winter even if some of them do have enough money to pay for it.
But oh yeah, these are just the sacrifices everybody has to make for the liberal world order, and to "fight Russia". You will make those sacrifices whether you want to or not, especially if you're European!

Are you talking about Europe or Texas?
Oh, my bad, Texas doesn't have public transit.

No war but class war, my friend. Europe has always been more deferential towards Russia because the natural resources they possess help to placate the proles. This was no doubt a factor in Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine, but people shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that this is a conflict between two ruling classes, while the burdens of said conflict will fall on the working classes of both areas.

Why does wealth distribution matter when the average US citizen is richer than half the world?

Matter? Like, in a cosmic sense? It definitely doesn't.

Because what happens in the first world affects the third world in an ideological sense. If the first world enacts fair wealth distribution policies these policies may eventually take effect on a global scale.

You know, the real point here, is that as long as there are wealthy oligarchs running the world, it doesn't matter what nation they are from, there will be blood shed in the name of that wealth.
I believe in decentralization of power, and money IS power. Honestly though, I can live with no income just fine. I've done it. If you think Americans don't know poverty, you're wrong. It is different though, because when I'm homeless and broke, I can still take what I need, and I do.
