as to Marx, Marx is not the same as soviet communism. Marx was a philosopher whose theories were adopted with varying degrees of failure by the exact kind of nations Marx himself thought ought to be socialized LAST of all. Marx's ideas themselves, though surely not perfect, cannot be considered to be entirely in line with what communism became, and certainly not Stalin's twisted version not Mao's.

places where communism went wrong are pretty obvious, and none of them are necessary to the implementation of a more socialist society (I myself wouldn't want full communism, even in its idealized form, there are aspects to a free market that communism failed to replace and that imo work perfectly fine if sufficiently regulated)
