In Skyrim the imperials are the liberals who want one world order. The stormcloacks simply want to worship talos and return to their national identity.

Ulfrick=Trump

Is that really the analogy you want to go with? Because I'm pretty sure Ulfrick and the Stormcloaks exhibit some significant racist tendencies underneath the gleam of their "Skyrim is for the Nords" ideology.

For example, Ulfrick forces the Dunmer of Windhelm to live in an apparent ethnic ghetto, the Grey Quarter, and doesn't allow the Argonians who work on the docks to even enter the city proper.

Ulfrick=xenophobia and ethno-nationalism=Trump

:lolsy:

I know, right?

I couldn't believe when I discovered the grey quarter and citizens who are talking shit on dark elves.

Interestingly, I am on the quest where I am charged with collecting dark eld blood. I don't want to be a dick to these elves, but someone has to die!

Well, F both sides then!

I'm sticking with the Companions! Freeeedome!!!

I actually agree.

Continuing with the analogy, the Companions, being a leaderless and racially diverse organization based on principles of solidarity, autonomy, and equality, represent anarchists politically.

True freedom.

Fuck video games.

Violence, competition and more violence. It's very boring too. Any decent citizen chooses altruism.

What you see is what you feel.

Some murders are definitely affected by action games. It's a little bit easier doing it IRL when you've killed that fucking whore and stolen her money on GTA.

Very controversial topic but there could be a correlation between virtual violence and real-life violence.

There is, obviously.

Look at how they make movies out of recent misery.

The masses gets what they want. Murder, rape and hatred. Culture is a pest.

Yes and no on some of this
the Argonians not being let into the city is definitely an example of racism, and talked about less frequently than the Dunmer
but the Dunmer live in the Grey Quarter predominately by choice -- they grouped together in Windhelm because it is the closest city they could move to after natural disaster struck their homeland
prolly the most interesting Dunmeri resident of Windhelm is Master Hlaalu
who owns a farm and has the land worked by an old Nord woman that it is hinted at him abusing
Quote:

Regarding the Dunmer segregation in Windhelm, he mentions that many of his kin complain too much about the way they are treated. In his opinion, complaining does little good. He is a firm proponent of hard work, and believes it's the only way to win the respect of the local Nords.

https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Belyn_Hlaalu

basically, Ulfric does not actively disdain the Dunmer himself, but he considers crime in the Grey Quarter to be outside his realm of concern due to focus on the war
in a broader look at Windhelm, this may not necessarily be Dunmeri prejudice either, as one of the quest in town is to help the understaffed guards solve a series of murders of Nord women, because they don't have the time or manpower to investigate

citizens of Windhelm are actively racist towards the Dunmer tho
part of this is painted as the Dunmer refusing to help the Stormcloaks in the war
but was never developed in a story manner that convinces me it is more than just common racism

of course, all of this is incredibly loaded in Skyrim
the Dunmer home province of Morrowind was the central focus of a game earlier in the series than Skyrim
in that time frame (200 years before Skyrim) the Dunmer are extensive slavers
they predominately enslave Argonians, but will also keep anyone they can get their hands on
one of the stats that is tracked in Morrowind is how many slaves the player has set free from the Dunmer

annnnd it is always most noteworthy that Khajiit traders are not allowed within the walls of any city in Skyrim
because the broder Skyrim population views the entirety of Khajiit as thieves

There are actually enough pre-placed corpses across Skyrim that it is feasible to complete the entire blood collection quest without killing anyone
except maybe a Falmer

kill or be killed, time is running out, you're on your own...
familiar arguments

You should play Undertale on a pure pacifist run, one of my favourite games ever and all about choosing altruism over violence
at least on the pacifist run; bastards who do genocide run kill everyone and everything until the game is empty

And you trust that silly research?

Are you in fact telling me US army folk don't get violently triggered watching Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down?

Why would I bother playing altruist, when I can do it IRL?
