What is a good deffinition of synesthesia. From what i gather from my readings it is like crossing senses. Like smelling colors, Seeing Music, And all that kinda stuff...I have had a level 3 trip and did not get much of that really. i mean the music felt good...i could feel it in a sense but is that what it is...And can you get a good enough dose to get good synesthesia on mushrooms?

Mushrooms give me a lot of sound to touch synesthesia, no matter how much I take. It happens only with my eyes closed with music though.

Yes. Even low dose shroom trips can cause some synesthesia. It's really a fascinating psychological phenomenon.

synesthesia was not something i really noticed until i became more experienced...now i pick up on it every time and its a very conscious-expanding phenomenon

i never got synesthesia as such, like it was more that just all senses formed one, so in a way i would be feeling music, etc. Is it still considered synesthesia in this form?

I took 2C-I about 2 or 3 years ago (only time) not sure of the dose but it was in a capsule, about 1/4 - 1/3 full (white powder). I took it and was getting some very good OE visuals and very intense CE visuals (to the point where i felt my thoughts were looping over and over; i saw thoughts as comic stips (only easy way to compare it).
I went downstairs to get something to drink. As i walked through teh kitchen the only sound i heard was the ticking of the clock (other than my foot steps, etc..). I opened the refrigerator and remember feeling a cool rush of air. I began to scrach my stomach; when my shirt lifted i felt a breeze hit my abdomen. The ticking of the clock entered through this feeling of cold air on my stomach; as if this area was tranformed into a opening (like the opening in a person's ear), for about a minute or two i stood there listening to the ticking. I felt like there was a tunnel, connected from my brain to this temperature drop/sensation. Prob the most intense sense-blending experience ive encountered.
As for mushrooms ive never experienced anything as connected. Ive watched my friends talk/move/etc.. while Jimi Hendrix was playing in the background and saw Jimi's music in there movements; as if they were acting out the song

YES...Hendrix's music was engineered to produce insane things while tripping on tryptamines. I got the most intense synesthesia ever listening to that on mushrooms and smoking weed. I saw AND felt the music very clearly and distinctly!

Synesthesia is wonderful...with lower doses of acid, you notice the visuals are kind of going with the music...but with a few good hits, it becomes crazy, the visuals litterally draw the music, very boldly...
It can get pretty intense ...I remember that on a strong trip my whole body feelings becomes one with the visuals....my whole vision warped in spiral and it felt like my body was spiralling too...it takes you and throws you everywhere.

When I was at a club seeing Audion last weekend - my perception of reality became closely tied in with the music that was being played. It wasnt so much 'visuals' like patterns - but the world around me.
If the song was getting really minimal and into a long breakdown - it'd seem as if the people around me would start to vanish - and I'd be alone. As the track would start to build back up and get more dense - people would start to re-appear around me.
At times my sense of time and the shape of reality would alter depending on the music. Certian parts of the song would start to speed up and sound like it was rapidly increasing - my sense of time would speed up and it'd feel like I was flying into the future as the crowd around me would sort of get 'sucked up' into a center - and form this throbbing mass infront of me that looked like it was getting sucked up by a vacuume.
Depending on how the panning in the songs were working - everything would shift around me to the left, or to the right of me. Or everything infront of me would start to form this giant swirl.
It was like the visual interperation of the reality around me got mixed in with the music that was being played - was something else to expierence, and at times - very confusing but still enjoyable. Now and then I'd stop dancing and wonder 'where the hell did everyone go?' - then boom, they'd start popping back into my world as the layers in the music started to come back.

On MDA + mushrooms, I've experienced synesthesia between touch and sight. Specifically, a friend of mine put her hand on my back and with my eyes closed I could see her hand represented by green "pixels" whose brightness and color would vary with the pressure each point on her hand was putting on my back. As she moved her fingers I could see each finger moving; if she picked one up, it would vanish.
That was the strangest blending of senses I've ever experienced. I imagine I've probably seen sound any number of times while tripping, and just didn't realize it among all the other things that were going on; it was probably a lot like how a music visualizer works - it tends to do awesome crazy things without music on, but when you put on music then the awesome crazy things bounce around along with the music. I'll have to pay more attention for that next time.
If you ever find yourself seeing touch though, you surely notice that!

LSD gives me synesthesia in high doses,
such as u associate a color with whatever u are touching, and so you 'feel the color' or you associate what you see as the music. It's hard to describe, a better description is through experiencing it.
It's the craziest thang ever, it's definitely awesome.
Mushrooms can do this too, but i notice feeling 2 opposing emotional feelings simultaneously with mushrooms as well, so it's like a synesthesia of emotions and senses.

You should look into the tongue sensors that they are putting on blind people. It's very cool.
There is a camera that picks up the world around them and that sends electrical patterns to a sensor that is placed on the tongue and the brain can then interpret shapes and is able to "see".
It's incredibly interesting.

I looked it up - thanks for telling us about this! Here's a link: Blind Can Now See With Tongue Vision

this. the synesthesia on a good potent dose of LSD is inexplainable. It's too amazing

I've had some pretty intense trips but never any real synesthesia before. I wonder if there is a meditative approach to inducing this.
