finally! some acid!

so, about 2 years ago(give or take a week), i took acid for the first time. i totally lost my mind. ended up peaking alone though, lost control, thought i was god, and shit fuktup. i ended up having to see a psychiatrist (who told my parents i was much more stable than them), whatever. i took about a year ago, very VERY weak. and since then, its been totally gone.... UNTIL NOW! yaaaay! so, whatever, i've got 2 hits of good clean acid (people have taken it, and loved it), and me and my girlfriend are gonna take 1 each. anywho, i was wondering if anyone knew of good music for acid, mebbe the equivalent of shpongle for mushrooms. is shpongle good for acid? strumpling? should i preload with 5htp? kavakava? any good combos? i have some salvia, and amt. does dxm work well with acid? any other potentiating drugs for LSD?
much joy! the smile on my face hurts my cheeks :-)

I did the 4 cd thing last weekend, total of 10 speaks in a souround sound set up around a couch. It was some crazy music, sadly we werent tripping, just high as hell. It takes some setting up and effort, but its well worth it!

Thanks for mentioning Piper.. Thank God!
DSotM is an amazing album, but I mean come on, I know when people think Floyd they think commercial success, they think Dark Side, The Wall, Animals. Those are all great, but they have stuff that in my opinion is equal, or even above par compared to those albums.
Piper at the Gates of Dawn definately, also check out More, Meddle, Obscured By Clouds, or Atom Heart Mother. Amazing albums.. Meddle has "Echoes", the 20-sum minute masterpiece that is guaranteed to send you off into hyperspace. Hehe.. Other bands to check out for your trip would be The Doors, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Soft Machine, Amon Duul II, or Grateful Dead. BTW, Shpongle is a MUST. Entheogenic and Hallucinogen, I've also heard a few tracks by so far, and they're absolutely amazing.
Also, if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about things to intensify the experience on certain levels. There is nothing like a raw LSD experience, and personally I think it's unneccessary to taint the experience with anything else. Maybe smoke a little pot on the comedown, or at the peak, if you're daring.. Happy trip, hope this rant was helpful.

Does no one like Animals? I think it's one of the most overlooked Floyd albums ever. My father loves Floyd, but when I asked him about Animals, he gave me a blank look. He said he vaguely remembered it but didn't listen to it much. It's my personal favorite, followed by Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, The Wall, and then Meddle. Animals is seriously a masterpiece though (haha, as if any of the others aren't), each song is simply amazing. If you haven't heard it before, try it out. You will love it. Edit: Sorry tryptamine, I didn't see that you mentioned Animals.

Animals is definately an amazing album. Waters' writing is very political, and it hits you in such a strong, particular way. I also love Gilmour's playing on that album. There are numerous times where I feel chills crawl up my spine just hearing him play. The Floyd are gods..

Total agreement with ^^this.^^ Perfect description of Animals. In fact I have to listen to it now. I haven't listened to Floyd so much since I've stopped smoking, but I need it every now and then. Great thread, thanks for the reminder.

awww man yeah Posford was WAY into LSD before he got into shrooms/dmt.. Shpongle-Land looks completely different on acid, yet just as incredible If you want an album by him that will REALLY tear you up on acid, check out "Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger" that one will lift you to heaven and then pull you through magma straight down to hell repeatedly oh and I wouldn't recommend DXM for anything but if you're feeling like a champion on your trip, salvia might make it interesting..

Yeah I do suggest something other than movies/music/whatever....
I suggest laying on your back somewhere comfortable and closing your eyes for a while
Take a vacation from restless activity

some quiet music to go in the backround with that helps alot to.
No one ever mentions him, but Clint Mansell is a really good composer, and its great for tripping, but mostly just for thoes "lay back, close your eyes and see what you see" moments.
(he did the Requiem for a Dream sound track btw)

WOW I can't believe nobody recommended Wish You Were Here. It's my favorite Floyd album hands down. First time I heard it I was tripping on acid in the woods with one of my buddies. We had a portable radio and just kept playing the album over and over till we started coming down from the acid. One of my favorite trips ever.

I listened to wish you were here and darskide of the moon on a trip, while walking outside(discman....and expensive headphones). It was mind blowing.
