Massive harvest of chanterelles and some others!

Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera of with me, but the rewards of this harvest were unbelievable! I checked out a new spot looking for porcini and unexpectedly came across a minefield of chanterelles. Also found some hedgehog mushrooms and plenty of ceps.
The entire haul:
Here is the chanterelles and smaller amount of hedgehogs cleaned and ready for the table... my smaller bro is the guy with his hands around those plates.

Nice finds DillWeed! Must have taken a while to clean up all those Chantrelles... it's a labor of love though.

I like hunting chanterelles. The bright orange/red makes them a lot less work to find than morels or others.

It took about 2 hours for me and my mum to clean them up.... indeed a labour of love.

Going to go for a fairly standard recipe and sautee these bad boys in butter then add cream with salt, pepper and parsley and have with some linguine pasta! Simple yet effective!

I met a guy a while back who hauled close to 30 pounds in one day. Literally a boxful, the pictures were ridiculous.
Those are really nice ones! Wish I had porcini patches

Yea I guess I live in a pretty good location, Within 15 minute drive (usually less) I can get porcini, chanterelles, hedgehogs, giant puffballs, magic mushies (psilocybe semilanceata) horse mushrooms, blewitts bla bla bla.... Apart from morels and st. georges mushroom I have found most of the best edibles that close to where I live!
