Mailing edibles?

Say I wanted to have edibles mailed to me...like cookies or maybe even peanutbutter. Is there that big of a risk? How often do dogs sniff the mail? Or does that even happen? I feel like it's less risky than sending straight bud, but I know it's not completely devoid of risks. The reason I need this is because I'm in college, and dorm living doesn't allow any canna-cooking. Plus, a package sent to a college with food could just seem like any old care package. As long as it doesn't smell...?

Pretty hard to tell, even if a dog alerts on it. They'll probably think the dog is alerting on the foodstuffs. Barry Cooper said that during his years as a top notch narcotics interdiction officer in Texas, he never nailed anyone for cannabis edibles.

Thanks for the response. Do you think I should still take all of those protective measures like tell the person sending to use a different return address than her own, type the labels, wrap up the items, or does that just make it more suspicious?

If i were you, i'd disguise it as a care package. Put in some other candies, cup noodles, etc.
Mailing just brownies probably wouldn't get you in trouble, but more stuff would make it look less suspicious.

Beef Jerky added to the care package?
Maybe Cannabis Beef Jerky? A light just went off in my head!

Your light just sparked one of my own like a chain reaction!
What if you fried up a bunch of really fatty bacon, until it starts swimming in it's own grease. Then what if you turned down the heat so the bacon won't burn, and then throw in some ground up herbs and simmer for a while? Would the bacon absorb some of the THC from the grease to make... CANNABACON!?!? I'd take the leftover grease and cook up some scrambled eggs. It would be like the ultimate wake and bake!

It would, but the surround liquid grease would absorb most of the THC, I would think.

That's what I was thinking, and why I suggested the scrambled eggs to soak up all that greasy goodness!

Meat throws off dogs but it isn't the best item to lace with canna-butter or canna-oil.
Oh well... Back to the drawing board. I think if it wasn't jerky it would go bad in the mail.
