THE 2010 FALL PNW ACTIVE MUSHROOM THREAD * 1
    #13182208 - 09/11/10 09:50 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

hows this to break the ice for the 2010 season, but to hit 3 different active species in one field!!

P semilanceatas

P stuntzii living side by side with a nice Agaricus campestris.

and to top it off, a refind of my Conocybe cyanopus but from a new location!!sorry i didnt get any habitat shots. tommorow i will hopefully. i couldnt tell the difference with the teneras at first so i threw em all in a bag. but it was obvious which ones were the cyanopus, shiny white stems that bruise blue at the base! yay

haha ya there is always sooo many cyans. but thats because most peeps are city folk and thats what ya get.

i am with ya tho, i am going to spend more time in horse fields this year. actualy i noticed in one of my lib fields today the farmer had horses in there this summer. and horse poo is supposed to be the key for fimetarias and subfimetarias. and i found 3 subfims last year without the horse shit so i got my fingers crossed!!
linoformans and silvatics are actually undocumented in BC so i'd love to find them too!
plus i got those unknown hotspring psilocybes to look for too..... gonna be a busy season, i am glad it has started this early for me!

found some more libs today.

naw man, the common ones are libs, cyans, and stuntzii, then baeos(although very rare for me personally but not for the seattle cats), azures, and some find pelliculosas. the rest are more uncommon, although i am finding that ive been walking over these conocybe cyanopus for freaking over 15 years and not knowing it!! they arent that uncommon it seems up here.

the rest are rare man, ive only seen subfimetarias once, and ive never seen fimetarias, silvaticas ,linoformans and of course ive been forgetting strictipes!!  and cyanfibrillosas if they even exist or what evers up with them, ive never seen them either.

Just came across some Baeos and Stuntzii for the first time yesterday. Found them both growing in one small patch of well maintained grass outside some apartments. There were some sprinkler heads so I'm sure that helped.

Baeocystis:

1.

2.

3.

Stuntzii:

4.

5.

6.

7.

Here's one of all of them:
8.

And lastly, here's a picture of my good friend, Baeo Bill. He lives on my deck.
