There's this guy convicted of 5 felony counts, 3 counts of Cannabis Cultivation, Stolen Property, and another one I forget. He's been to court so he says 5 times and says they still haven't offered him shit, I say bullshit, What do you think? FFS, I know a guy that had something similar and was offered 13 years the first time he went to court. Had no criminal backround.
Is it me or is something.....not right? He's either lying, or somethings not good......He's in California

Not necessarily, but the liklihood of him recieving an offer (a real offer, not a piggy offer) has more to do with what the hearings he's attended have been for rather than the number of them.
He could have been to an arraignment, pretrial, new arraignment, continued arraignment with counsel, bond hearing/supression hearing/treatment progrma or diversion hearing, et cet while never getting an offer

Johnm214 has the more logical of the ideas gives so far. I know from personal experiance I went to court for over 9 months until adeal was offered. In that 9 months I went to court at least once a month for one hearing or another. Mainly pretrial confrences. I would go to court ( 3 hous away) and either something would get delayed or w/e but don't lose faith just yet. I just wanted to let you know it could happen. It did to me. All in all I plead guilty to 2 felony 5 charges. I was originally charged w/ 5 felony and 4 misderminors so I made out good. In the state where this happened a felony in the 5 th degree does not have manditory jail time so I was let off on 5 years probation. I served 2 years paid it all off and got released off it 3 years early. Never once had a drug test either from the time I was arrested till the time I was let off probation, except for when I attended an in patient rehab program.

Yeah, that is not uncommon- especially if a cop charges you first then the prosecutor or whomever wants to poke around some more, they may arraign you then dismiss at the preliminary hearing (in states that have those or their equivalent) only to indict your ass later on and start all over.
Its also very possible you could go to several arraignments/bond hearings untill you get counsel (whether private or public) and the judge just keeps continuing shit untill your represented. This is only likely when the guy is out on bond/recognizance or has allready had a bail hearing w/ counsel and just can't muster it.
In the state I'm most familiar with, the pretrial is pretty much when your going to get an offer in the normal case, but these may be continued forever as well.
