I thinking of investing a bit of money into a decent pressure cooker. Ive got one but its shit. Based in Uk so have to order from US (pc's here are awful) I was thinking of something along the lines of this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALL-AMERICAN-910-10-QUART-PRESSURE-COOKER-CANNER-/270597756397?pt=Small_Kitchen_Appliances_US&hash=item3f00e215ed Im only doing pf atm but will be moving on to grain soon. Do you recomend it.

You'll absolutely love it. But it's a mid-size model. For the amount of money involved, you might be better off getting the bigger one now and not wishing you had later. But it holds a considerable amount of jars. Even more if you use bags.

Dude search ebay for All American models and you will find amazing deals. I got my AA 921x which is 21.5 quarts for less than $150 dollars shipped and this thing is built like a tank and holds 9 quarts.

Guys, shipping a pressure cooker to the UK from here is no joke. $100+, probably. Pays to buy the best in that case.

I wouldn't go with less than a AA 921. Look for one of those. If you have a large stove, you could get an AA-941 for not much more money. The 910 is going to be a bit small when you move to grains and liter jars.
Have you checked with Red Hill General store for prices on a new one? RR

I currently live pretty far from the U.S. and I had a 921 shipped here. Yeah shippings going to be quite expensive, but it shouldn't exceed $150 dollars. That's how much it cost for me, but compared to the pressure cookers where I live (if you can even call them that) it was worth it.

I'm always re-surprised by that. It's such a basic, fundamental sort of cookware. It's like saying your nation has no coffee pots. But I know it's true, there are no consumer pressure cookers in some countries.

I'm about to order a Presto 16qt from Amazon for ~$70. The reviews are good, can fit 7 quart jars. It does use a pressure gauge but you can buy a set of 5,10,15lb rockers for it.
