Dung Cake Questions???
    #1316525 - 02/18/03 11:33 AM (13 years, 9 months ago)

Ok Ive seen boxtop post all these pics of "dungcakes" Which basically looks like a bulk casing that flipped over on its side. Now on my 1st flush the casing is receding from the casing container and theres shrooms growing up from the cracks. Now I seem to think that Im wasting casing surface area (the sides|) by leaving it in the container. Would I get better results if I took my casing out of the container to fruit? How would I do this? Should I case for the 2nd flush if I do the dungcake? Anyone? Thanks alot

you can take it out of the container
if you'd like.

dung tends to shrink quite a bit during
the course of a couple of flushes, so you'll
see it pull away from the sides often.

they like to fruit on the sides cuz it's nice
and humid in there.

you want to do something fun...dunk your
dung cake for a couple hours (NOT TOO LONG)
between flushes...it works wonders.

(too long and it will oversaturate the poop)
