reusing syringes

i am wondering if reusing a syringe that had been stored in a plastic bag for a few months will be okay to remake a syringe. i have a ton of b+ prints and i am reusing the b+ syringe.
there is a small amount of spores collected towords the end of the syringe. i figured when i did did water sterilization by boiling and sucking up the water and expunging it out that the spores would wash out. however after 4 new sets of water in the syringe and shaking they wont come out. im eager to include my new spores into the syringes but im wondering about these old spores in the syringe, if maybe they contain contams.
help me out cuz i dont want to go buy more syringes

I think you should be ok to give it a try. You could also try pc'in the syringe as well. If you have a ton of B+ prints, you dont really have much to lose to get that sterility down. Just my opinion.

Boil water for five min suck up the boiling water and shoot it back into the pot like 4-5 times then draw up water and let cool and make your syringe using that water and you will be fine

I would really go to a pharmacy and get sum new ones,(just to have)you can get like (10) 3ml syringes for under 2 dollars- Or if you are lucky go to a Agriculture store, and get sum 10-100ml syringes for cows and such. That way you can store ready made syringes so the spores are already hydrated.

i always thought it would reduce the chances of mold-spores but if it works for you i just would rather be safe than sorry as its not that complicated of a step i dont think ive ever read a tek that said to shoot back into the pot rather than not either way its cool to see people doing it other ways

10 minutes at a rolling boil is what they tell us to do during "boil alerts" that happen when our town has a busted main or something..its not needed in many cases but better safe than sorry! in 5 minutes, its probably good, but in 10 it is for sure.

well i did do the sterilization, my question was not on how to make a syringe, but whether old spores that wont come out of the syringe would cause contam

If you boil or pc the syringe those spores are long dead. Why not just pop off the draw portion of the syringe (pushy part) and ram a tooth brush in there if you are soo concerned though.

100 10cc B-D Luer Lok Syringes: 32$ 100 18g 1 1/2" needles: 9$
i re-use my syringes multiple times after doing the boiling water sterilization, and i never had an issue. Needles always get discarded after a project, they are dirt cheap and readily available at any pharmacy if you don't mind some judgment
A lot harder to find are the Syringe Caps, the little blue ones. You can get them for 5$ if you can get the pharmacy to order some for you. I know this is no problem in Canada, they will order some for you, but almost never stock these items.
