Washington Stuntzii and baeocystis

well, after going on a hunt yesterday for edibles and getting ran outta my area by a momma black bear and her two cubs, I figured that I would go for an active walk today and see if I could make up for it. Found a total of two different, and new from last year, stuntzii patches and two lonely Baeos that looked like they went through the lawn mower. PNW season has started!!!!! Check your spots everyone.
These are the two Baeos. There were a few other stems, but no caps to be found.

Thanks, but I start a new job tomorrow morning, so I will not have as much time as I would like for photography. I'll do my best though!

Just PNW. Global is a totally different story. I'll try to post more pictures tomorrow. Gonna visit the spot from last year, where I found lbs.

I'm hoping to transplant the patches of Baeos I found last year. If everything goes right, by the end of the season, i'll have swapped my entire front yard with the grass growing stuntzii and baeos. Here is a pic of the ones I found last fall.
Happy hunting everyone!!!

But you do realize that saying random things that make you giggle inside your head, may not be understood by the community to which you are speaking? It is like saying an inside joke to yourself; out loud to a room of people, and not understanding why they didn't get it.

Went to a few other areas I fount ringers and baeos last year, but it all got raped by the mowers. only a few stuntzii and one lonely baeo. But a plus, the area where I transplanted my cyan patch just got a nice covering of alder and maple mulch.

Careful man a little dab'll do ya. wasn't my prettiest find of them, but they were in a manicured bed around a stripmallm oddly enough in beauty bark, kinda rare in that stuff, and looked a lot nicer b4 they started dryin out PS Don't mix with cyanes and cambodian cubes

I went out today and looked around PDX after the rain. I found a single PICTURE PERFECT subb and not much else. I had a fleeting thought of starting the PNW official actives thread with it as a sort of joke as no one else has and there are already Baeos and Stunzii up. I ultimately decided against that as it would have just been TOO lame. It's getting closer everyday, and the chips will be coming to life will the Earlybird coprinoids and Psathyrella here real soon. Bring the rain and the cold North winds!

In my opinion, baeos and stuntzii count towards the PNW actives thread, but i would rather see it start off with some nice pin porn I went out for a jog right after work (I keep forgetting to grab my camera) and found a few more small patches of stuntzii. They were all in areas I had walked past many times, but since the grass was so long I didn't see them. A few have really long stipes, like almost 4"

Sorry the color is off, but I've never seen a stuntzii like this one. Its weird how much they vary in size shape and just overall appearance.
as opposed to this one from last year. this is the only one ive found with the wavy cap look to it.

Beautiful. I think Stuntzii and Baeocystis are tied for my all time favorite mushrooms (well, active mushrooms that is). But stuntzii are just so interesting and diverse, especially in potency.
-------------------- Having lived through an existence close to nature, one accepts the small and simple things as most important in life. Sun, wind, rain and snow. The sounds birds make, smells of fresh wild flowers. Love of all kinds, from friends and family, thy self and our neighbors. Beautiful sunrises to the darkest clouds dancing above in the sky. To forgive, learn, share and express. This is the only thing a man such as myself can ask for. What comes as the result is nothing short of the core of human existence, to truly live free in body and mind.

Holy hell. I stopped by to take a look at my usual P.stuntzii patch and it was going gangbusters. Unfortunately there was a grounds keeper around so i couldn't do much but walk by and survey the area.
I know what I'm doing on Sunday >:)
