Just a few mushrooms I found walking through a field. If you can tell what they are just from the pictures much appreciated but if not.. Who cares? Just thought I'd share my finds.
Mush#1
Guess: Giant Puffball.
The field was absolutely full of these.
In an old cow field.

Mush#2
Poor photo I know. Coming from the soil near the roots of a unknown tree.

Mush#3
By a tree stump . I had to remove a fair bit of grass over growth to actually see these.

Mush#4
Found right next to the ones above.

Mush#5
Found in long grass next to a lake.

yes and 3 looks like some prime C. micaceus. 4. looks like flammulina velutipes, and yes 1 appears to be calvata gigantia...just my opinion

Cheers. Have you tried giant puffballs. I just read on wikipedia that cooked they can taste like tofu/melted cheese. If this is right its probably worth me going back to the field and having puffballs on toast

Also I googled flammulina velutipes , and on wiki and various other sites it says its a natural sp. of enoki. so this probably would be worth getting and frying up once i've got a distinct id. Might go and try taking my first spore print
Thanks for the help .

the puffballs, yes, I'd go get them, split, butter and toast and use like the bread on a sandwich you should make a spore print of those suspected F. velutipes and get a positive ID before you think about eating them.

For sure we should see the gills and stems of those orange ones before you call them that.
My guess is 1 is Calvatia gigantea, 2 probably Coprinellus micaceus, 3 might be Coprinopsis atramentaria and 5 might be Agrocybe dura.
