Hi, I have grown these on BRF/verm, birdseend/verm, and a variation of Alien substrate (omitting the finch seed and doubling the flax). I have found the latter substrate to lead to the fastest colonization. They also seem to enjoy heat so if you can get an incubating temp of 86-90 the spores will be happy. I used African Violet Mix as a casing (verm, peat, worm castings, volcanic pumice, etc)...I reccomend sterilizing this casing though (I got green mold fairly often), and got mycelial growth rapidly. Cold shocking will initiate pinning. Hope this helps a little,
