im about to go to the local GNC and buy supplements

any advice on what to get or what to avoid?

right now I think im gonna get a simple weight gainer and maybe some vitamins or creatine

im leavin in about an hour so just thought i would get some words here

Muscle Milk if you work out regularly. That shit is soooooooo good! When I was in highschool my psychiatrist suggested that I get it because I was already underweight and she put me on adderall which killed my appetite, but I was always glad to chug a giant glass of that shit and it maintained my weight.

Not to say that you should stop eating if you drink it :lol:

You still gotta eat. But goddamn, Muscle Milk has to be on my Top Five Tastiest Drinks list.

The past couple of years though, i have been using it for workouts, and have gained 20 pounds in the last 2 months since I started recovering from my surgery this past May. (I used to be able to eat constantly and barely gain a pound. It is VERY hard for me to gain weight.) Some of that is from beer :lol:

but the majority of it is muscle weight.

It's kinda expensive.... But it's worth it. They have a cheaper version called Cyto Gainer too which is a "lean muscle maximizer" and more suited for GAINING weight, but it has phenylalanine in it which gives me killer headaches so I only took it a couple of times. And it's not nearly as tasty as the muscle milk :tongue2:

I'd also recommend Choline. Most people don't get enough of it, and it has noticeably helped my horrific memory since I started taking it on a daily basis a couple months ago.

And Fish Oil. It'll help with joint pain if you have any.

I cannot stress how much I recommend Muscle Milk though.

The chocolate is sooooooooooooooo delicious! Mix it with whole milk, not water though.

Mint Chocolate is good too, but I can't even begin to explain how amazing the plain ol' chocolate tastes! :drooling:

good suggestions. i'd also get some piracetam while you still can.

why go to GNC though? that place is really expensive. you can get most of the supplements much cheaper on the internet.

Yeah piracetam isn't going to be scheduled any time soon.... It doesn't work that well for me unless combined with a million other things. Alot of people have no luck with it at all. Its hit or miss. And pretty damn safe as far as I know. There will be no reason to schedule it.

Yeah you can. I used to drink them just for the pleasure of it. Of course, it helps to drink one right before and one right after your work out, but a workout is definitely not necessary!

Usually I pay $40-$50 for a 5lb tub of Muscle Milk at GNC... They have sales quite frequently, and my GNC card helps sometimes too. I'm not sure how many pounds you got, but I'd say if you got two tubs for that price you didn't really get THAT ripped off. Typical pricing from GNC... (assuming you got a 5lb tub and a 3lb tub)

But does muscle milk make you gain muscle weight or just weight in general?

I am using something along the lines of a lean muscle maximizer. Is that what muscle milk is?

I just want to bulk up cause im scrauny as hell

No protein shake/weight gainer is going to make you gain "muscle weight". When you gain weight, you will gain a little fat with it. To gain pure lean muscle is a long and slow process. Do what the pros do. Bulk up for several months, then cut back on the calories and increase cardio. Add some roids in the mix and you'll be buff daddy.

Muscle milk is absolutely delicious. I need to find some good online supplement sources and buy a bunch of it.

You're not going to gain muscle weight if you're not working out, no. Muscle Milk might make you gain some fat weight if you're drinking alot of it without excercize, but you will gain no muscle unless you USE them.

Don't go to GNC. Bodybuilding.com is waaaaay better and cheaper

I like the Gold Standard brand whey protein, vanilla ice cream flavor is the bomb.

N.O. Xplode is also very useful.

It's not going to be fucking banned, all you paranoid motherfuckers need to hold on to your nuts tighter. The FDA is going to regulate it just like any other over the counter medication.
