Beethoven is one my favorites, but that's because I like romantic era music. I haven't listened to nearly enough different composers to make an argument for who's the best though.

Bach.

Beethoven is up there.  Probably along with Chopin and Puccini.  There is alot I haven't listened to though.

I absolutely love Beethoven. He's the one composer that I can't think of a piece I don't like. I used to be a concert percussionist and compose music, so I have a decent appreciation for classical music.

Valentina is fucking amazing. My favorite pianist.

BEETHOVEN=GREATEST

He single-handedly changed how music and composers were perceived by society.

He was the first musician who freelanced his work and wasn't just considered part of the King's staff amongst the cooks and servants

He was the first composer to suggest that music can express a large array of abstract emotions, everything from love, to envy, to sorrow, to joy. And by doing so, he single-handedly kicked off the whole romantic period.

Plus, he was completely bat shit crazy and deaf, which makes him even more badass!

however these three are also great:

Gershwin

Tchaikovsky

Koji Kondo

I cant say I have a favorite because there's so many great composers,
what I like at any given time is likely to change depending on mood

Giuseppe Tartini wrote The Devil's Trill Sonata, a pieve that he was very
disappointed with because he heard the devil play it in a dream but could
never recreate it here's the Vanessa May version

I used to really like Ludwig Van, but then I a bit too much ultra violence. Makes me nauseous now.
