This thread is titled "Welfare", not "The London of Charles Dickens".

A moderator's non-censure of another's post hardly puts you in the position to take the moral high ground. Defending your violation of a shroomery policy by pointing at another's possible sin is an incredibly puerile excuse for ill-mannered behaviour and the "clever" mixing of two completely different issues to muddy the waters.

alright pinky... this is gone on long enough and i've read enough to think that there is definitely something to what you're saying. so far, no one's really been able to nail you down on any of your arguments. i'm gonna start a post in the political forum so the conversation about lassiez faire capitalism can be continued there.

There is a "Be Nice" policy here and you are well aware of it.
The policy is applied more strictly to posts that violate the policy the most.
Essentially any post that contains a phrase such as "You are being" or "You are not being" is a violation because that phrase turns the argument from substance to personalizing.
This gradient evidences itself in several well defined steps.
"You are incorrect."
"You are being foolish."
"Listen shitforbrains,"
Your infraction was the most egregious and so was dealt with in the strictest manner.
Any further posts by you in this thread will be deleted unless they do not personalize. You have put yourself at this disadvantage by your own actions and have no one to blame but yourself.
I edited your post and reminded you of the policy but you found it clever to deleted my warning. I could have you temporarily banned for that.
As far as the others in the thread are concerned you do not know how I dealt with them. If I wish to deal with others through pms it is my perogative to do so. I am the moderator and you are not.
Moderators have a code here. Several things are involved it in. We are not supposed to argue in public. We are not supposed to correct each other publicly. And we are to be an example to the community at large. No moderator is perfect and we all make mistakes.
As far as your points are concerned I thought you made some good ones. But that will not stop me from moderating you or anyone who posts in my forum.
Get me?
Good.
Have a splendid day.

Any comment, Mr. Mushrooms? I don't know what Alex wrote, but Evolvings post up there isn't really nice, too.
The truth is Mr Mushrooms edited my post and added several of his own personalised insults such as "We don't want to hear your trash". I removed them.

Read my previous post and consider the fact that I think calling someone a "shithead" or "shitforbrains" to be talking trash.
That should clear up my position on the on how I moderate the forum.
Thanks
This is the last post in this thread where I will explain my actions.

You have replied twice now with posts that were personal and their topic was a moderator action. There will be no questioning of that on this issue. Your statement accusing me of misquoting what I said is a lie.
This thread is now locked for a cooling off period.
You really cannot understand what you read, can you?
Cheers,

What do you all think about welfare? Should it be kept or abolished?
I haven't read this entire thread, but I think welfare should be left up to the individual states. The federal gov't shouldn't do it, but the states should be able to if they want.
