Depression Alliance
Confidential listening and support service, a gateway to depression alliance services and signposting to other services. Also offer a range of information on depression and treatment options.

Rethink Mental Illness
Advice service providing information on mental illness issues, including benefits, community care, Mental Health Act. Head office for NSF which has a network of over 300 projects across the UK, from supported accommodation schemes to employment training courses and day care centres. YoungMinds - Parents' Information Service
Helpline providing information and advice to anyone with concerns about the mental health or emotional well-being of a child or young person. Information about a range of mental health issues and details of local and national advice services.

Helpline providing information and support to anyone affected by a mental health problem. Gives callers options for action and puts them in touch with available sources of help and support. Adfam National
Helpline for families and friends of drug users. Offers information about drugs and details of local support services nationwide. Provides support and counselling relating to the caller's own concerns, family/relationships and anything related to the drug using situation. Prisoner's families support project.

The Samaritans
24 hour, confidential, emotional support for anyone in crisis. Encourages people to talk about suicidal feelings before they become overwhelming. Respond Telephone Helpline
Telephone counselling service for people with learning disabilities, who are victims and/or perpetrators of sexual abuse. Also available to carers and professionals on issues of sexual abuse, sexual offending and learning disability. Are able to call back learning disabled callers if they wish.

NSPCC Child Protection Helpline
Helpline for people who are concerned about children and young people at risk of abuse, including calls from children and young people themselves. Offer information, advice and counselling about the welfare of children, legal issues relating to children, sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect and emotional abuse etc. Will also accept emails and correspondence. Provide advice and consultation to adults. Welsh service on 0808 100 2524 Monday to Thursday 11am to 7pm.

The Compassionate Friends
Helpline run by and for bereaved parents who have lost a child of any age and from any circumstance. Offer support and listening, 365 days a year. Also support for siblings, grandparents, parents of murdered children, death from drugs, suicide and AIDS.
