Could deer or elk dung be used in place of cow or horse? Strange question I know, but deer and elk poo are much more common where my friend lives.

yes....pretty much any dung as long as its composted......the only ones I advise against is that of carnivores....

Good question. I have no idea, but I've never heard it mentioned. That said, this could be simply because most people don't live in an area like your friend. I say try it! You won't lose much, and the information you gather will be of great value to you and everyone else who is interested in the outcome. Good luck in all your endeavors.

Thanx a bunch dudes. Very heplful link. The deer at my friends place are lazy-ass mule deer, so he may try it w/ some spent cakes just for shits n giggles and have me post results.
