Jars Too Hot??

I have an underwater heater that is only puting out 50 degrees of hot water. i dont know how warm it is on top though.the jars are inside a plastic container. when i pick up the jars they are hot. i heard that if the jars are too hot they can kill spores. could my thermometer be wrong? they are wrapped in foil and covered with a heavy blanket.

A friends jars are usually warm to the touch when taken out of the incubator. How warm are we talking about here?

lol, idk, i only have one thermometer and it reads 50 degrees in the water. but pretty warm. i can stick my hand in the water w/out getting burned. damn portabellas..

You should probably get a thermometer for the compartment that holds the actual jars :smile:

yea i probally should. but im too lazy to look. it took me 3 weeks to find that damn heater and does not even work. took me 2 months to find the proper jars. i still cannot find a pressure cooker. god knows who has hepa filters here.. *sigh* wish i lived in the states. THERE ISNT EVEN ANY SHROOMZ!! NEVER HAS BEEN. no lsd, weed is expensive... bah, im just whining now, so cya
