where to pickup packages (apartment complex)

i live in an apartment complex, and the mailbox's for each individual apartment is located downstairs. the mailbox is small itself, and could probably just fit magazines, regular envelopes(etc) in there..
would priority mail packages be able to fit in their(receiving)? where do you think you pickup packages that are too big for the mailbox?
(..someone said that they leave you a message and you have to go to the local usps) sounds sketchy!
insight anyone?

Hate to burst your bubble, but that's what it is...
All of the apartments I lived in have tiny mailboxes. The USPS guy leaves a little slip in your box for you to usually pick up your package at the front office/managers office. In some instances they may even leave an official USPS slip in your box to pick up your parcel at the post office. I never had any issues with ordering "stuff"

In my building they hold all of the packages and you just pick the up from them. Its mostly to insure that things aren't lost, but don't worry about it. Mostly no one gives a shit what you order, they have better things to be doing with their lives than wondering what some guy is ordering.

damn. oh well.
do you think that priority mail packages, the skinny/flimsy envelopes could fit inside my mailbox?
i also couldn't think of any place in my apartment that i could pickup a package besides the leasing office or the concierge (?) .
so going to usps sounds unfortunately , promising.
thanks guys.

I get everything sent to me at work. There's always someone there to receive it, because we're open 10 to 7. That way, I know nobody's fucking with my shit. There's only 8 employees where I work though.
