Diabetics please chime in

so, i get oddly dizzy, and disoriented when i eat almost anything..... i dont have the best diet, i drink a lot, i have a shitty lifestyle.... im working on it...
anyways, i noticed that the odd effects i was expierenced onset heavily one morning at a festival, where the first thing i did that morning was drink a can of coca-cola. as it was a sugary drink... i debated weather or not it might have been sugar or diabetically related.
so tonight, sitting around drinking whiskey and cokes, i decided to test my blood sugar. as my cat is a diabetic, i borrowed his machine (yes my cat is a diabetic, his name is halsted, and he's an attention whore)
anyways, after a night of drinking, and not much eating.... my blood sugar came out to be 88.....
does that sound right?

its normal but you should eat a sand which your a type 2 right?
You should learn more about your disorder bro you can still party just have to be a little safer and smarter about it. Pretty much the cola is spiking your sugar but it drops off again fairly quickly and if your just doing that all day . That rise and fall isn't good for you/ can cause blackout alter mental states headaches weakness ect.
Sorry if that came off like an asshole

im not a diagnosed diabetic by any means.....
Im just searching for a reason for why i feel so fucked up all day to be honest....
my cat (literally my pet cat,) has diabetes, so i just so happen to have a meter lying around.... so i gave it a try on myself (its a meter meant for humans btw) and those were the results.
im wondering if i might be hypoglycemic, or if the results i just posted, could be normal.... my last meal was at about 3pm... shit i should get dinner....

Hmmm, you're saying your diet sucks. That might explain it, no?

Just improve your diet/exercise/lifestyle.
Go see the doctor if you really feel it is necessary.

I'm pretty fit, i ride my bike wherever i can instead of driving a car, I have a pretty physically intensive job, when i get hours.
i wish i could.... i dont have health insurance... I recently cracked a tooth, and went to the dentist... that's the extent of my health care funds availability, I'd fucking love to go to the doctor, but that is not going to happen.
im going to go test myself in the morning, and a few more times over the next few days to rule out any blood sugar related problems. im not saying im a diabetic... but after feeling so fucking out of it the other day when i had a coke for breakfast..... im not willing to rule it out.
Obama care at its finest... a man stealing his cat's blood sugar monitor.

Haven't really ever had to deal with no insurance. I am sure that sucks.
Hope you start feeling better soon!

The signs the preceded my sister's diagnosis were excessive thirst and sleep. Hope it helps, and everything is alright.
