Flashbacks

Last night, after smoking only two bowls, I experienced what I can only describe as closed eye visuals.
Needless to say, it freaked me the fuck out, especially considering that I've done two hits of acid, and until last night, thought wholly and truly that there was no such thing as an acid flash back.
In retrospect, it was actually pretty cool, but I can't help but wonder if perhaps the is something more going on here in terms of brain chemistry, or would it just be something that is like a memory flashback, a recreation of a past experience?
I love acid, and plan on doing it again, regardless of whether I now will have flashbacks. But I think that there is lack of discussion about the actual nature of flashbacks.
Yes, it's a touchy issue, and many people say they have never had a flashback. I'm hesitant to even say that what I experienced was one. But I think there ought to be a more indepth discussion of them on the forum, as people here who post that they have had flashbacks are often derided with posters saying "I've never had a flashback, therefore they don't exist and you're full of shit. Just grow a pair."
Responding in that way is totally unfair to those who honestly feel they've had a flashback, so that's why I'd like to use this thread as a way to discuss the nature of flashbacks in a mature way. Lot's of people feel that they have experience flashbacks after LSD use, so it is only fair to give those individuals the right to discuss what they saw and felt. If you're one of the above mentioned posters, please, refrain from posting. This thread isn't meant to deride people for what they claim to have experienced, but to have a legitimate discussion.
So with that, I'll leave the first posts to the community. What do you all have to say?

Lots of people, myself included can experience closed eye visuals from cannabis alone, especially if it's particularly nice shit. Not saying that what happened to you wasn't a flashback, but I find since I've entered into psychedelics marijuana is way more (though mildly) psychedelic for me than it was beforehand. I've spoken to others who feel the same way, so I'm sure it goes beyond myself.
As for sober flashbacks, I haven't heard from anyone I've actually met who said that they interfered with their ability to perform sober activities. It's all about your attitude - if you freak out about suddenly having visuals, you'll defs have a bad time; if you appreciate the beauty of what you're seeing, you can work with it, and if anything it enriches your daily experience.

I agree with you totally. And I've never had a sober flash back. The only time I've experienced anything that reminded me of LSD was after smoking a few bowls. Last night was particularly powerful though, and the first time I'd ever experienced closed eye visuals on pot.
And I have noticed stronger effects with bud too - especially the sensation of having a sort of "pixilated tv screen" effect at night.

I always go back to that initial feeling of imprinting LSD took me to when I haven't smoked a couple days.
not just high, but revivified. I guess if you've had a strong enough experience the subtleties are always there.

You might have has a flashback, but if you're worried, right now I wouldn't worry too much. Cannabis was the first drug I used and I experienced close eyed visuals on high doses with good bud, and still can. I find closed eyed visuals are actually rather common if you've smoked enough of the right bud.

I have CEV 24/7
It's particularly bad at night when there isnt much of a difference in open eyes or closed eyes. I'll just become hypnotized by it
The way I can describe it is shimmering blackness with splotches of blue shimmering growing and twisting like a lava lamp. Lots of different shapes
Lots of movement for sure

I feel like I had one today... was at a guitar lesson and I just got this all-of-a-sudden feeling like everything was gonna be a-okay...just like the feeling I get with acid...I think it was the music that did it, I'm learning fire on the mountain and it brought back memories of that last festival I was at.
Otherwise I was sober as a bee.

Yeah, it's funny how it just randomly creeps up on you. I haven't had the same thing happen since, and i sometimes wonder if it's just a memory thing. Like i get stoned and start thinking about acid, or i notice similarities with something, and suddenly BAM! back in LSD land, you know?

I never had any flashbacks, I did however have a comedown that lasted for eternity.
