Did I just have a shroom flashback?

I just came back from taking a shower and the most awkward thing happened to me:
I started to see some shiny orbs floating around me in the shower cabin. They were not just impressions on my retina, because as I turned my eyes I could see some more in my sides. I was a bit panicked the first second, but then the thought that I might be having a flashback came into my mind, and got panicked again thinking that more could come. The whole thing lasted about 4-5 seconds.
Background: -Its 4am here, and I woke up today at 8 am after 4 hours of sleep. (I heard that flashbacks could be caused by tiredness)
-I took some magic truffles this monday (3 days ago) but not much, just 5 grams, to help with meditation. - I had 3 shroom trips in my whole life, but none was extremely powerful. And I havent had any other psychedelics (except for salvia).
So, given this info, did I just experience a flashback?

I dont really know if I would call it a flashback. I have been trippin for a few years, and I see colors and shit all the time. I mostly see them outside, the light seems to bring it out more. Out of the corner of my eye, constantly see small streaks of color whizz by. Dunno if this is the same thing you are experiencing or not.

I wouldn't be so quick to attribute it to flashbacks. I've experienced comparably insignificant, odd, and unexpected visual anomalies ever since I can remember--before I had ever even tried a psychedelic drug.
It's probably a combination of fatigue and perhaps a slight trough in blood pressure. You might have been on the verge of fainting. Get some sleep, brother

I don't think flashbacks or hppd are real. I used to think I had hppd, then I started to realize that all of the things that I was experiencing were just normal visual phenomena that I had been experiencing my whole life. After using psychedelics it was easier to notice because I had acclimated my brain to notice that type of thing. Then, upon noticing something out of the ordinary visually and I would associate it with a psychedelic experience.

Interesting point. That kind of makes me think about it. That said, your wrong... When I was young, I never seen colors, flashes of light, and trailing the way I do now. It may not effect you the way it effects me, but you should not view something as not being "real" because you personally have not experienced it. Just sayin.

It's not that I haven't experienced it. Maybe I haven't but it doesn't matter. I've read a lot about it and read a lot of things on this forum and hppd forums. All of the things that people describe are normal explainable visual phenomena while hppd is unexplained. I have experienced noticing these things after beginning to use psychedelics. I thought there was something wrong with me and that wasn't good for me mentally. The less I believed it was real, the less I noticed it.

I think a flashback is just extreme deja vu. The thing is how do you tell it from normal deja vu?
Just thinking out loud. Its like your just walkin doing your everyday shit, working or whatever and BAM youve seen this. You predicted it. But when... you swear you know whats gonna happen next and you realized because you remember the exact moment of what just happened happened before. IRL or not. Fuckin deja vu.

It sounds like what I see when I take huuuge tokes and don't have enough oxygen. I've had trip flashbacks before, after a month of daily tripping, and you FEEL like your tripping, not just seeing weird things.
-------------------- "I have come to tell you that you are free. Many ages ago, My consciousness left man, that he might develop himself. I return to find this development approaching completion, but hindered by fear and by misunderstanding. You have built for yourselves psychic suits of armor, and clad in them, your vision is restricted, your movements are clumsy and painful, your skin is bruised, and your spirit is broiled in the sun. I am chaos. I am the substance from which your artists and scientists build rhythms. I am the spirit with which your children and clowns laugh in happy anarchy. I am chaos. I am alive, and I tell you that you are free." HAIL ERIS! ALL HAIL DISCORDIA!

Don't worry about it bro.
The universe that surrounds you and me is just energy waves. We normally can perceive very few of these waves - psychedelic drugs allow us to take in a little more. Nourishing ourselves with a bit more energy makes us free. What you're seeing is your subconscious letting you know, it's slowly becoming free. It felt like showing you some shiny orbs. Appreciate it.
When you overdo psychedelics, you'll know. It hasn't happened yet.

And what makes your personal experiences any more right? Many people who have never used psychedelic drugs in their lives experience similar visual distortions. I'm sure that your use of psychedelics isn't the only thing that has changed between now and "when you were young."
I'm not doubting you, and frankly I don't care that much. I'm just saying visual distortions are very common amongst all people, HPPD is not very well understood, and it could very well have nothing to do with psychedelics at all. It may, i'm just pointing this out because it seems like every kid and his mom "has hppd" these days. I think most of it is a mental thing really...

It seems like going back to sobriety after a month of daily tripping would be a huge trip in itself.
