shrooms and weed

So like every trip report i read they smoke weed. I don't understand exactly why this is, as weed does make the trip more intense, but i know that i don't remember as well and learn as well when THC is in my system. I refuse to smoke weed when using mushrooms for that reason alone, if i want a more intense trip ill eat another gram. Any opinions on this?

i was referring to the spirituality of the mushroom and i thought weed took away from the experience, although it does intensify the trip. Thats why i thought to put this in here, if ur a mod u can move this to the appropriate forums.

I wouldn't smoke weed while tripping shrooms. The weed gives it an uglier quality imo.

I think weed enhances the total experience of shrooms. But weed always causes me to analyze things, and I have never had a problem learning on weed. The majority of my high school education was spent high. Last time I tripped I ate 7 cubensis caps and stems, and we smoked right after we consumed, during peak, and during come down, it was the most intense experience I have had yet. Lots of colors, and combination of senses. It was nice.

I agree... weed ruins the purity and enlightmnet feeling of the trip, its like just getting stoned again... in an insane way.  It totally blurrs your mind... blah. :frown:
Though the best trip I ever had was in the summer where the last part of the come down was around evening time and me and my friends shared a FATTY that was a mix of hash and dried shrooms outside a school under fluorescent lights.  To put it this way: it funkafied the trip so much, colors got so much brighter and "happyer" plus the smile from the joint and smile from a cleansed-after-trip feeling, it was great :smile:
I was staring at a world between my feet, he he, at the come down its great to share a joint if the trip was spent with friends, but be sure to add a bit of shrooms in it! :wink:

I have to disagree with you.

As it makes the trip more intense, it also alters the trip and makes it a bit more "trippy".

Just because weed and shrooms potentiate each other does not mean they produce the same feelings.

Yah if you want a more intense trip like you said then pop a next gram, but if you want to give your trip a twist then smoke a doob.

Just my opinion, peace..

and what, miss out the best part of tripping? Ah, its all up to your taste, what yourself prefers... But I couldnt imagine ruining a trip with a joint at the beginning.

I eat mushrooms for a higher understanding, i smoke weed to relax, i keep them seperate. Although ive noticed that i feel like im tripping when i smoke weed now after doing a lot of AMT/DMT.

I prefer to smoke a bowl right after I eat my shrooms. That way you're nicely stoned and can ease into the coming up - a great feeling! Also my friends like smoking because the weed settles their stomache, shrooms sometimes bother them. It's also great to smoke when coming down. It's always kind of disappointing to come down, weed just makes it easier. And I always like to smoke at least once in the middle of the trip, smoke just looks so cool!
