Oh, that should work lol. Yeah, that chart looks good to me. I don't know what this
Quote:
Airflow vs. static pressure curves are shown for 60 Hz and 50 Hz (broken line) inputs.
means but your gonna wanna follow that solid blue line on the chart, not the broken one.

see the sp ratings on the left? you want a blower that will deliver around 300 cfm @ 1"sp. 300cfm will allow for the drag from your prefilter, and for particle buildup over time, so it will still work fine in 5-10 years.
No. That fan runs on 12 volts DC (not going to work). It's also out of stock.
Ideally you want 200CFM at 1" (depending on the filter you use). My HEPA is .5".
If you go too strong the flow hood will be blowing spores off your inocc loop.

Yeah but too strong is better than too weak. I mean you can always reduce the flow, but increasing it would be a problem.

true, but i think the fan will work perfect at 250cfm at 1", with a prefilter it could be reduced to a guesstimation of 225, i should be good, plus it was only $40 including shipping. Thanks all.

my fan is WAY big for my 18x24:

but with a prefilter and enough of the intake blocked, it works fine:

What you got here Fungal is the same type of setup I have. A massive over-sized fan that has been reduced. I mean it was free, why complain right? Just a little creative blockage in my case some duct tape & cardboard did the trick.
Sounds like you'll be alright Pandelic.

Wow fungal, my fan blows a bit harder than that. Doesn't blow out the lighter, but kinda seperates the flame a bit, make it flicker. Maybe I should add more resistance?

yeah, i would. its not supposed to separate from the source, it should bend it 45-90 degrees from about 6 inches.

That's the bottom line. If the flame bends over 45 degrees, but less than 90, and doesn't separate from the lighter it's good. Make sure it's the same airflow over the entire work area. RR
