Monotub 99% colonized when checked, opening lid brought on yellow contam

right where it wasn't colonized, a frothy yellowish contam is now. Does this mean the whole things trashed? Should I cut it out? I already put some h202/h20 solution on it and it didn't die, ruling out cobweb. YIKES! Your advice, pelase!

First, you probably didn't cause that by peeking at 99%, it probably had isolated the area itself. Yellow sounds like metabolites, which may indicate a bacterial infection. If so, you may cure that by exposure to fresh air.
But I want pics.

is it your only tub?
do you want to continue to grow in the future?
if you dont want to fuck up your growing area. toss it outside in a shady spot. it will probably still fruit.

Exactly, I couldn't imagine this little patch being the death of that entire tub. Is it normally a death sentence? Also, what if I just cover that little part up, wont that stop it from releasing spores? What about just slicing it out?
And T its definitely not metabolites, its another lifeform altogether. Something foreign and mysterious.
I just want to know if its going to affect my flushes or not really.

Don't slice it. If anything, cover it with salt paste. And do move it outdoors to avoid polluting your grow space. Hard to say much without pics though.
