Alright, so here is what is going on. i'm growing 2 different strains in a shotgun terrarium, Mexican and Golden Teachers. They were growing in grow bags until recently i moved them into the terrarium. the first spray bottle I used was filled with some type of cleaning chemical im not sure what, but it was clear just a little cloudy, maybe even a little yellow. i washed it out very good all parts, i sprayed boiled water through sprayer for a long time, sprayed the whole bottle into the sink to clean what was in there before out. When i was done cleaning i sprayed it on my hand to see if it smelled and it didnt at all. So i sprayed more to make sure and then sprayed it on the cakes. I sprayed it on my hand after to see if it smelled of anything and it smelled very bad of chemicals. my cakes then proceeded to turn a kind of green blue, and no mushrooms were forming on it. Does this mean the whole tops will not pin? i flipped them over and their growing from the bottom.

what? so you did and then didn't? Wait what? Whaaaat?
i wish i could be more helpful, but i don't really understand what you're asking.
sometimes, when i do cakes all i get is growth from the lower bottom and sides, it has something to do with moisture and is perfectly normal, change the RH (humidity) and FAE (fresh air exchange) if you want to improve, at least play around with it to see if it changes your fruiting-from-the-side problem.

Don't spray chemicals on your cakes.

pretty sure you'll be fine, your cakes are bruising, they dont like being sprayed directly and it can cause other problems like bacterial contams

Uh... old info. Cakes don't mind being sprayed. With water.

I don't get it either. I dont know how any of it was left. Before i sprayed it on them i smelled it and it was fine. After it was sprayed i smelled it again and the faint smell of the cleaner was back. Alright ill try spraying from farther away. i've been fanning with the lid 5-6 times a day and i have an air conditioner on fan near the tub. Should i keep that on or turn it off? its not making the room cold its just keeping it in the 70's. I also have a humidifier going 24/7

the smell permeates the plastic along with some of those chemicals that a lot of cleaners contain, they get slowly released back into the water you filled the bottle with, it's usually not enough to do harm to anything but the smell will always be there

Bacterial blotch is a result of poor FAE, not a result of spraying cakes with water. Proper airflow is required for healthy cakes.
