Ugly right? Tell me about it. This is my second grow, but my first time using mycelium to inoculate the jars. My incubation chamber was overrun with black mold and killed all but one lonesome cake. If things couldn't get any worse, 2 days after being placed in the FC, an unexpected heatwave came out of nowhere. (considering I'm up north in Canada, any heat wave is unexpected lmao) It got my FC up to a staggering 104*F while i was at work. Upon returning from work, the entire cake which used to be a nice fluffy white, turned an ugly green blue. i had to wait overnight for ice to freeze so i could cool the FC, so two days later, i finally got the temps under control. the problem is, will it recover? what do you guys think? should i leave it be, or start all over once my spore syringes come in the mail (which could possibly be dead from the heat as well)I was also thinking of using the mycelium to make some jars with rye seed, but would have to destroy the cake.
Opinions? will it fruit?

Shoot me a pm if you would like a powerful custom laser built. 4th pic is a 1.3W 445nm laser burning thru some plastic makeup containers. Yes I was wearing proper safety goggles, otherwise I would be blind right now.

I agree that's trich. You should throw it away, it'll never fruit like that.

Wow, I felt the immediate need to cover my mouth/nose when that pic popped up. Do what TacoHerder said. Get that shit out of there and sterilize your grow area (if not your whole house) like crazy.

It took a matter of about 24 hours until it was completely covered. I just finished spraying the cake, FC and ANYTHING that could have come in contact with it with 70% ISP. Mask and rubber gloves were used. Turns out is was starting to spread to the inside of the cake. This shit isn't getting anywhere else.

Sorry about the double post, but my only question that remains, is trich harmful in any way to people or pets?

Its not harmful to healthy humans or pets. But the spores spread around your house, making it harmful to your future projects.

wow, you had a fully colonized cake of mycelium of some mold, talk about unfortunate. To the untrained, these "bombs" are not distinguishable from a normal cube mycelium, and once they set it in the chamber the thing just explodes with spores and seriously fucks up future grows.
Congratulations, you will now be haunted by mold big time.
