Can I use these older, sterilized jars?

I'm sorry guys and gals I may have asked this question 2 or 3 times on this website, but can/should i use PF substrate jars that were PC'd 7-14 days ago? They have been under care of micro tape, foil, and a glovebox with two exposed holes for my limbs. The jars show NO visible signs of contaminants. Some people talk to me and say I am fine, but i worry about lacking water and gas exchange, so i ask of you guy's to aid me in the right direction. I have been successful with cakes and wbs, so i would like some input. Just seems too good to be true to use them after so long. Thanks for your help. Z

You should be fine! the original pf tek states that keeping the jars a few days after sterilization is a good way to check your sterilization method. If the jars have an oder and any visible contams then they are unsafe to use. If the jars instead have no funky smell and no visible contams then your sterilization techniques are good!!! from that point the only contams you need worry about are on the syringe or in the dry verm!
SO! in short, they should still be good to use if no contams are sited

a sterile jar is a sterile jar, as long as the moisture content is not off you can let it sit for a year and still use it.
When my PF Jars come out of the PC and are cooled down i like to take the foil off and weigh a coupple of them, to get the average weight. It's almost always around the 10 - 10.5 OZ mark. That is a good way of checking for moisture loss if you let your sterilized jars sit for a while. I had jars sit for a month and they weighed in at 9.8 OZ and they still produced good flushes.
Sterility is key, other than that, there is no no problem with "older" jars.

Raver420!!!!!!!A YEAR???!!! the water seems to be crucial for the inception of PF cakes; I have gone a week after sterilization with longer colonization times, but that was w/larger verm. I typically add 1-5% more H2O because it feels right...,with good-great results. The jars look funny, but it has been awhile since last project...just me i guess

well, i prefer fresh jars. However, if you know the jars are going to sit a while leave the foil on and put them in the fridge. They will keep (almost) forever.

With cheeze n meat n veggies in the crisper next to my spore syringes? I guess i have had cakes under water in that same fridge that produced; maybe I shouldn't be so picky? is it really this easy? i'm doing 20 cakes producing 3/4# dry weight after 2 flushes. Insight? Thanks

I personally wouldn't use jars that old but its do-able with a reliable sterile method and some luck. I mean after all there are vendors that sell pre sterilized jars right?
