Just wanted to share that I just picked up an AA915 for 150 bucks! I love craigslist, it saved me a lot of hassle and money.

They will last much longer then a presto. The metal to metal seal lasts longer then the types of seals used on prestos. I have a presto as well that's about 5 years old and it's already showing a lot of wear, an AA will last decades but there not cheap. There's also some very large AA's mine can hold 14 quart jars at once which makes things much faster.

because thats what all the cool kids use
naw but really, they're pretty heavy duty.
that presto would work fine, seems like a good value to me

oops, this is a good point probably the most important one, i didn't notice on the presto. rubber gaskets are just one extra thing that will eventually wear out. they sell replacements though. i have a smaller rubber-gasketed PC i actually use for cooking food in (imagine that), that shows no wear on its seal after many years though. ymmv.

decades eh? what about centuries?

not an AA, i guess its a "National" brand, early 1900s... it is also a metal-to-metal in the style of an AA... she still works
