Nah, I'm just kiddin', nothing going on. I could use some advice though. I took 8 or so decent sized caps and put them in foil for spore prints. Not those fancy, sterile, pussified prints like you guys take but what I like to call a spore cocktail. I checked them this morning it hadn't been but like 12 hours or so and there was already a very dark print. I plan to let it go 48, I'm sure by then I'll have a ton of spores. I just want to randomly inoculate shady spots, compost heaps, manure piles. I was going to scrape all these spores into single foil square. This should work fine inoculating random trash piles and such, shouldn't it?

define "work fine"
in nature, the spores are released over time (like you realize in the printing process) but they get caught in wind currents and dispersed far and wide. almost like a very very fine mist.
its a one in millions shot they land somewhere suitable, at the right time, and so on. that's why nature is clever about spreading them thin, far, and wide.
scraping off a clump on the other hand, even if you know its into an appropriate material, the odds are still stacked against you.
it may work, it may not. so don't get your hopes up too high you'll come back to a huge patch in a few weeks or something.
to improve your odds, emulate nature and spread them thin, far and wide... people have had ideas like making solution and spraying fields with garden sprayers... think along those lines... though i'd be careful if its not on your property, you might look like a sketchball with a garden sprayer in somebody else's field
its still a crap shoot when all is said and done.

Hey Fungal,
It probably would be more successful to grow some spawn and use that to start pirate beds.
I really love the photos from the Northwest where seriously powerful shrooms are growing next to gas stations. ;0)
If you take the time to pick good spots, and then to work some spawn into the ground, then I am sure that you could spread some joy.

Good advice I suppose. I can't say I ever would have thought about it that way. One of my friends is a pilot, I'm thinking crop duster..
I was reading your cloning tek in your signature and had a question, You talked briefly about your old says with the kits. Something I always wondered about those, how were they, potency wise? Seems like I've heard they were not very strong.

Which pics are you talking about? Link? Using 'spent' mycelia was my first thought. I probably will go with spawn over spore water.

These babies are like gold. They give spores so that they may be spread far and wide, then some idiots are willing to pay alot for caps, because theyre so much stronger ya know

Playing around with my phone I accidentally figured out how to do a screen shot. Do I have to say Pic unrelated?
