What's next? - Please inspect my procedure for end of grow

Hi all.
Wat do nao?

I've just broken up three pint jars of millet and put them in a tray.
At this point I should I rehydrate my grains with a dunk of say 12hrs?
I figure in the morning I'd drain the grain and put them back into the tray lined with foil. Put the tray into a tied off plastic bag and let it recolonize for a couple of days (how many, 4?)
At that point I had planned on placing the tray into a shotgun style FC.
How does this sound?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That's gonna be an awesome tek for contams. Where did you get this idea for this method?
You gotta protect that grain with coir or something. The shrooms that, if by some miracle, grow out of unprotected spawn will be small and wimpy. You gotta feed the myc too. It may already be too late for this tray but in the future...read and obey this tek.

Alas, my heart is broken and I'm retarded.
I'm still going with it in effort to make something.
Good thing I've got my quart jars colonized and ready to do a real tek this weekend.
Results to follow... if any. Ha.

You were cool up til here.
The next step would be to cover that tray and put it back in colonization conditions... i.e., it needs gas exchange (not fresh air) - so for example, you'd cover that tray with some tinfoil, punch a few holes and cover those with micropore tape to make some filtered 'breathing' holes. Then put it away...
Wait another while... the mycelium needs to recover from being crumbled first, then needs to complete colonizing and consolidate your millet, and would have in a week or so's time turned the thing into a solid block, like a giant cake in a pan.
At that point, you could have continued. Maybe a dunk, maybe a casing, whatever your prerogative... and then fruit.
So yeah, missed a step. If you want to make something of it yet, rewind, cover it up like I describe, and see if it colonizes & consolidates into a block. Having left it exposed, in a weakened post-crumbled state, doused with water, etc., it's a long shot anything but a variety of mold and bacterias will grow in there.

Er... I returned and realized I misread your first post... you might not be in trouble yet... what i still wrote is valid about the order...
so in regards to the first post, no dunk, after crumbling you immediately return it to colonizing conditions... its not 4 days or any magic number, it's just until "its done"... until you have a nice solid white block, and wait a day or two even after that... then go ahead.
sorry to confuse.
