After going to the batcave i noticed that the top of my wbs jars had what looked like to be hundreds of pin point sized white bugs covering the lids and wiggling threw the pollyfill holes in jars lids! They covered all my jars my shelving and they were migrating all over. I removed every thing from the room saved maybe 3 jars and one fc but my closet is screwed. I know the source could have been one my cats snuck in once while I was fanning but if I keep the kitties out and re plastic the floor and walls can I just bug bomb for mites n bleach everything else or should i just say screw it an move ahhhhh!?!

Sounds pretty gross. I doubt your cat could have caused that. Not sure what could have but I have 4 cats openly going into my work area and have never had bug problems. If you clean it up really good you should be fine. Make sure you don't leave any bird seed sitting out or anything cause I once had a bad moth problem due to the bird seed.
If there's nothing for the bugs to feed off of they should go away.
When I had the moth problem they started as little worms and I walked into the room I had my grow in and there were worms crawling all over the ceiling and walls it was disgusting and extremely hard to kill them. After that I bought buckets I could seal my wbs in.

fungus gnats perhaps... there's tons of home-remedy style ways of getting rid of them, do a little googling
i believe i read very long ago they can sniff out fungus from quite a distance... so that's probably how they found you...
anyway, they don't live long. if you take away the source of the fungus, there's not much for them to do and they go away, or die of old age... they do lay eggs near where they eat... so you might think you "saved" those jars when in reality you might be holding the next generation's eggs and just moved them somewhere else in your house... anyway, the eggs also hatch quick so you'd know in a few days
you can reduce the numbers with fly paper or simply sucking them up with a vacuum. one of the old folk remedies that ive used is a bowl of vinegar with a few drops of dish soap; they stop in for a drink and either drown in it or die shortly thereafter...
