Propane Cooker for my PC?

I am ordering an AA930 soon and I feel my stove will be too small for it. Plus, the heat that would come off the PC would be too much for my small kitchen. I am going to use a propane cooker (the things that turkey deep fryers use). I would set my PC on this let it do its business. I was just wondering if anyone has used this method with their PC and if it is a viable option. I think it is a good option because propane burners heat things up faster and are easier to regulate.
Obviously I would use it outside.

Using a propane burner to heat you PC is gonna leave a black residue on the bottom of your PC which will affect the resale value if you ever decide to sell it to get a bigger one. I would reccomend buying a hot plate. You can get one for less than twenty bucks and probably for like two bucks at a thrift store or good will. The heating element is small but your pc is nice and thick on the bottom so the heat distributes evenly and it doesn't take much heat to run a pc anyway. I would reccomend this kind as it is more sturdy.

A properly adjusted(for air/gas mixture) propane burner isn't going to do much blackening. At any rate, a few minutes with sandpaper or a green scouring pad will take it right off. RR

Good point RR but wouldn't it be a bit hard to get the temp right on one of those things. It is hard enough for me using a precision dial with settings and notches let alone trying to use one of those ones on a propane turkey fryer. Also what about the cost of propane.

You just have to eye the temp. It's like getting a bunsen burner just right.
Propane costs, for me at least, would be minimal. A normal barbecue size tank will produce enough energy for a long while.

but is it nescessary? I myself use a quite decent sized pressure cooker, and even if i set the heat on low it will start to boil and generate enough pressure eventually. Once it gets to the point there is only a small amount of energy needed to keep going i find, so the stovetop always worked for me well.

That is what I use to pasteurize my straw. A large tamale pot and made my self a wire mesh basket and then I cook it on propane stove outside and just lift it out and strain it. Works good for me.

i am was thinking about going the propane burner way because its outside and everything i like the idea for pasteurizing and sterilizing. but anyways does it matter if a propane burner value goes to 5psi instead 10psi? or is 10psi a must for good heat distribution?

I've used both and was satisfied with the propane. It did eat up a lot of gas though and it reg some attention for the right temp. Not bad, just after using my electric stove found it was a breeze. Maybe the hot plate outside would be a better compromise.

well I went with propane because I didn't want to have to deal with finding a extension chord long enough to run outside. Then have to plug it in to a power outlet either inside or find one outside (which I doubt I have any outside) then have to worry about tripping over the chord and possibly disconnecting the chords or toppling over my pot from tripping on the extension chord. And yes I am that clumsy. LOL

you want to get a adjustable propane burner. The low pressure ones aren't usually adjustable except by the tank pressure knob which isn't very usable at all. I think most propane burners operate in the 1-30 psi range. I found this burner http://cgi.ebay.com/GAS-PROPANE-BURNER-STOVE-OUTDOOR-CAMPING-BBQ-NEW-COOK-/230509817123?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 to operate a 930 just fine, HOWEVER THE HOSE SHOULD BE REPLACED I HAD IT BREAK AND FILL MY PATIO ROOM WITH PROPANE ONE TIME, VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION IM LUCKY I CAUGHT IT! Cheap Chinese shit, but a propane burner like that is good for the 930, 941 sized PCs.
