Long-time lurker showing (an appreciative) face

I have been involved in this hobby for a considerable time (many years) and it all started here, for the most part. I have learned much of what I know from the posts on this board. Many teks have I tried, many more have I experimented with, and many, many more have I read all aboot on this very board (no, I'm not canajun).
As an introduction, I'd like to say I have successfully and unsuccessfully grown fruiting fungi, from spore to fruit body, using everything from home-made prints of wild specimen, purchased spore syringes, BRF cakes, dung, grains, compost, LC (with home-made magnetic stirrers for added fun), to sawdust and logs for those wood-lovers. I have thus, in large part because of you folks at the shroomery, become a fount of mycological knowledge and I say its long overdue that I start to give back.
Furthermore, and the true purpose of this post (and my registering at all), I must give my thanks. That 'thank you' is more than merely overdue, it's borderline immoral. Too often in this crazy place that our world has become 'thanks' is a thing of self-fulfillment and given as it is profitable, not as it is deserved. My most sincere regrets are that I didn't thank those that helped me when I had the chance to do so; often that chance is never again realized. Luckily this forum is more forgiving than that. On that note, thank you Agar, RogerRabbit, Roadkill, and the countless others too numerous to name for giving me what I needed so long ago when I needed it. May we never stop teaching AND learning. Shanti

will kill us in time
'till then we'll drink it's weight
in cheap beer and wine
we can drink just as fast
as the river is strong
and we'll drink 'till we're gone

I lurked for a very long time as well. Just reading on threads and taking the advice of others. I then took the big step and created a account. I'm hooked.
