Guess that mess: Mycelium or mold?

Been 1 week since inoculation, jars showed signs of "colonization" only 2 days ago. The problem - The stuff in the jars doesn't look like mycelium, and i need a second opinion. Tell me what you guys make of these three pictures: http://img811.imageshack.us/i/pics008.jpg/ http://img594.imageshack.us/i/pics009x.jpg/ http://img833.imageshack.us/i/pics011.jpg/
Now, you can't smell the pictures, but each jar smells like rotting eggs/old feet with wet socks. I'm pretty sure its mold, but I'm not sure what kind?

The first one looks a lot like some healthy mycellium to me.
The third looks pretty bad. Looks like yeast to me. You said they all smell like dirty socks? That is not good.

I read that dirty sock smell is a bacterial infection, but its coming from all the jars. I'll be disposing of the third jar, hopefully that was the only one letting off that repulsive smell.
May i also ask, whats the difference between bacteria and mold? isn't it essentially the same?

For our purposes, they are the same. But the major difference between bacteria and molds is that bacteria are prokaryotes and molds are eukaryotes. Bacteria do not have a real nucleus like molds; bacteria's DNA is stored openly in the cytoplasm of the cell, which is unlike molds.

Now would either of these be caused by high humidity in the incubation container? All 3 jars were pressure cooked for 1hr 30mins, and inoculated with a piece of live mycelium with a sterilized knife. I'm trying to decide where the contaminants would of been introduced to the jars. The jars were incubated for 5 days with no problem, all the while i had misted the inside of it with 10% ISP spray and it had left some water droplets in the container. After those 5 days, I moved the container next to my computer, and placed a blanket over them to keep it warm, and overnight the growth formed. Placing the container next to a dusty computer under a blanket - probably not a bright idea now that i think of it, but Im just trying to figure out the best way to avoid this again in the future, because the smell really sucks.

I think the mistake was opening the jar, I would have rubbed the jars and petri dishes with alcohol before opening them. It would have best to done this in a glove box. I then would have sterilized the scalpel and took a cut from the mycelium and barely open the jar and stuck it on top. RogerRabbit mentioned in a video to not shake the jar with the newly transfered agar. It actually colonizes faster when it is left on top. Close the jar and take it out of the glovebox. From this point you do not open the jar. That may have been your mistake.

Agree, this is probably where the bacteria were introduced.
I assume these are BRF/verm jars? How did you get a sterile (PCed) dry verm layer on top? That verm looks very chunky in the first pic and it doesn't look like it's got any BRF on it.
Basically, I don't think transferring mycelium to a PF-Tek jar is a good plan. Try a jar of rye grain. You can go lots of different directions from there, including making a grain LC and inoculating your PF-Tek jars with that.

I realize that using a knife to put the mycelium in the jars wasn't bright, but it was my only option at the time. I put the layer of verm on top, PC'ed it, and when I inoculated, I dug a small hole in the verm with the knife and dropped the piece of mycelium into it on top of the BRF. Yes I followed the PF Tek, and I had done this successfully using syringes with a buddy earlier (that's how i got the mycelium)
Btw, I never said I had misted the jars, i said I misted the container that they were in to clean it, I know I'm new at this but I'm not an idiot. I think the verm on top looks chunky because of my camera lens, at 55mm a closeup of a piece of verm will always look bigger than usual.
Edit: I just want to know if the jar in the first pic is contaminated or not, it looks like mycelium but also looks like bacterial rot, so I'm clueless.

Your first jar looks fine. But if it smells then chuck it. Wait until you want to birth it, and then open it up outside and check the smell. If it looks good, take it back inside, dunk/roll/fruit.
Going outside will protect your house from spores should it actually be a mold.
